Dr. Danielle Baran was born and raised in Annapolis, Maryland. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland College Park, where she excelled academically, earning a B.S. in Neurobiology & Physiology with a double major in Psychology.
Dr. Baran continued her educational pursuits at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, earning recognition for her academic achievements with her selection to the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. During her time at PCO, she completed clinical rotations in ocular disease, contact lenses, and pediatrics. Dr. Baran received her Doctorate of Optometry degree in 2012 with highest honors.
In her professional career, Dr. Baran is known for her meticulous approach and her commitment to providing quality full scope eye care. Her special interests include myopia control and glaucoma management. She is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Maryland Optometric Association, reflecting her dedication to contributing to the broader professional community.
Away from her practice, Dr. Baran enjoys good music, the great outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. She currently resides in Ellicott City with her husband and their two children.
