All patients, please bring your photo ID as well as both your medical and vision insurance cards to your appointment. If you are a new patient, please fill out and bring the New Patient Forms (link below) to your first visit.
Payment Information
At this time our practice accepts the vision insurance VSP, and the medical insurances Medicare, Humana, and BCBS. Our office accepts payments with cash, check, and all major credit cards.
What to Expect At Your Visit
Dilation
If you are a new patient, please expect to have your eyes dilated at your first exam. Dilation allows us to see fully inside the back of your eyes and is very important in evaluating your ocular and systemic health. The examination time including dilation is typically around one hour. After being dilated, you can expect your eyes to feel light sensitive and your vision to be blurry at near distances for up to 3 hours. Please take this into consideration when you are choosing your appointment time.
If you are an existing patient, whether or not you will need to be dilated at your exam will be dependent on several factors, including age, history, and the time of your last dilation.
Wellness Assessments
Many ocular health conditions begin quietly, without obvious signs or symptoms. Wellness testing allows for earlier detection of conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes, high blood pressure, and many others. Our doctors recommend regular wellness testing for all applicable patients. At our office, our wellness assessment protocol includes an ultra-wide field fundus photograph and/or iWellness OCT imaging.
